Try out some new skills at Daventry's first Festival of Education

Young people and their families can try their hand at a variety of free activities, challenges and workshops showcasing local schools and colleges at next month's Daventry Festival of Education.

Science experiments, English and maths challenges, craft and beauty sessions and engineering workshops are among the many activities being planned alongside information stands at the event, which takes place at the iCon Innovation Centre in Eastern Way, Daventry on Saturday, 10 October from 10am to 1pm.

The event will also include the first Daventry Young People Awards with accolades celebrating students' academic achievements, community work and enterprising or entrepreneurial skills, as well as an award recognising teaching staff who go that extra mile to help students succeed.
