Sociable and supportive, fun and enterprising – Northampton College has everything you could wish for while studying with us.
College is not just about studying for qualifications. There are plenty of activities that will help you to develop different interests and meet students from other courses. You will have the opportunity to try out different experiences, maybe take up a new hobby or learn a new skill.

Events
Our students are invited to not just attend events, but also to plan them and to choose charitable causes to support.
In recent years, students have organised everything from music gigs and outdoor festivals to dances and celebrations, raising money for causes that have included Children in Need, Sport Relief, Macmillan and many more. Why not create an event or fundraiser to support a cause you care about? The Students’ Union is here to help you make your event plans a reality, so chat to the team about your ideas.

Sports
Whatever your skill level we have a range of clubs open to all, including archery, badminton, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, table tennis, tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and Zumba.

Venues
The Underground is our very own music venue, located in the College basement. This is where many of our students go to perform and everyone is welcome to attend regular music gigs, all organised by our students.
Our flagship gig of the year takes place at Northampton’s premier music venue The Roadmender, where student performances feature an eclectic mix of music from rock and heavy metal to acoustic sets.
Hang out with friends between lessons in Booth Lane’s courtyard – the perfect place to chill out, with its own amphitheatre and green space.
Nearby is The Lookout and Lookout Express, where you can grab a bite to eat, mingle and get to know fellow students from different parts of the College.
And, if you’re feeling active, check out our gym – a great place to work out and, best of all, it’s completely free.
