Northampton College has been selected as one of 10 colleges across the country to take part in a CITB-IOC mentoring programme.
As part of the programme, we were delighted to stage a hugely successful CITB-IOC Timber Industry College Hub event at Booth Lane, with eight guest speakers from all aspects of the timber industry contributing talks about their areas of specialism to our carpentry students and special guests.
Congratulations to our student Leo Tigwell who received a Highly Commended award and prizes for the IOC Level 3 Carpentry competition held nationally across 55 colleges while two former students also picked up awards.
Our Deputy Principal Joanne Philpott gave a warm welcome to all those attending and this was followed by a speech delivered by President of IOC Geoff Rhodes.
Other talks throughout the event were delivered by Emma Brown, Mark Bradshaw, Nick Boulton, Roly Ward, Neil Summers, Mick McGuckin and Emma Woodward.
