Northampton College recognises the stress and uncertainty this year's exam results process has caused students.
We pledge that no student will be put at a disadvantage by the events of recent weeks and we will honour all offers already made to study at any of our three campuses ' at Booth Lane, Lower Mounts or Daventry ' based on Centre Assessed Grades (CAGs).
For any student whose grades do not meet the entry requirements of their chosen course, we will accept your Centre Assessed Grades as an alternative, giving every student wishing to study at Further or Higher Education level the chance to join their preferred course with Northampton College from this September.
Students who do not achieve a grade 4 or above in English or maths may still be required to resit these GCSE qualifications next year, studying alongside your main study programme.
The recent Ofqual announcement moving to a CAG model will allow students to progress in learning and into work, while removing much of the anxiety and providing much-needed clarity and certainty.
We are looking forward to welcoming new and progressing students over the next few weeks and will continue to ensure all young people have a place on a course that suits them. We will do all we can to make the transition to their next step as smooth and stress-free as possible after an incredibly difficult six months for everyone.
