An engineering lecturer from Northampton College who has helped develop careers in the motorsport industry for several of his students has been shortlisted for a top national award.
Neil Tobin, who has worked in teaching for 10 years, is among the finalists for the coveted Lecturer of the Year' award, organised by Pearson.

He has played a leading role in securing work placements and apprenticeships for students at major local employers such as Mercedes AMG and Cosworth and also helped a number of students move on to full degree courses at University.
