Since securing the bid with SEMLEP for a new college building in Daventry, plans are well underway on the development of the project with the new college location now confirmed as the Ashby Road site which is adjacent to the University Technical College. Funding for the project will come from both central government and through the sale of the current college site at Badby Road and it is anticipated that construction will begin in May 2015.
Pat Brennan-Barrett, Principal said, 'The sale of our current Daventry campus will go towards creating a brand new centre which will provide first-class educational facilities for the town. We intend to keep the green field site situated at Badby Road and the current campus will continue to operate as normal until the new facility is completed in September 2016. The new town centre location will be better positioned to serve the community and will also allow for closer collaboration with the University Technical College."
