In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week (3-7 March), Northampton College hosted a number of events across the county to celebrate the amazing achievements of apprentices and employers and to inspire more organisations and individuals to get involved. This resulted in a record number of 100 Apprenticeship applications being received throughout the week.
The event kicked off with an Apprenticeship Information Evening for local employers at the College's Booth Lane site and was attended by employers from across a variety of sectors including, Kingsthorpe Children's Centre, Oakleaf Care, Mahle and the McManus Pub Company. The aim of this event was to provide a clear overview of the Apprenticeship scheme and how easy it is for businesses to get involved. An Apprenticeship and Careers roadshow also took place throughout the week in Daventry, Wellingborough and Northampton and was supported by a wide range of organisations and individuals.
