Northampton College and The University of Northampton are delighted to announce the launch of a new Higher Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. Backed by Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership, the Higher Apprenticeship is designed to address the critical skills gap within the engineering industry.
The UK constantly requires skilled and highly trained engineers, technicians and managers. An ageing workforce in this sector, and a reduced training spend in recent years have led to vacancies being difficult to fill. This new Higher Apprenticeship intends to up-skill existing workers' practical and technical knowledge, while attracting new entrants to the sector.
