Two Northampton College students have been named the runners-up in a regional maths challenge final.
Khadeem Brumant and Felicity Hagenberg represented the college in the MEI finals held at Milton Keynes College.
MEI is an independent curriculum development body and a charitable organisation that works to improve mathematics education.
Kirsty Coogan, maths quality and development manager at Northampton College, said: “All of us use maths every single day, whether it’s working out the cost of our shopping or calculating what time we need to leave to catch the bus. It’s arguably the most important subject we ever learn – so it makes sense to work hard at it.
“Khadeem and Felicity did themselves and the college proud – putting in a brilliant performance and returning with a well-deserved trophy that is taking pride of place in the office.”
