Companies across Northamptonshire are being asked to get involved in a new project to give students real life experience in the world of work. Northampton College launched the '100 companies in 100 days' campaign last month ' aimed at getting 100 local businesses to sign up to offering work experience to its students.
Already, almost 70 companies have signed up to the scheme and the target is well within sight, and employers are being urged to get involved now if they want to be part of it.
James Whybrow, assistant principal at Northampton College said: "We have had a terrific response to the campaign, with dozens of companies signing up in the first couple of weeks alone. Work placements are becoming increasingly important for our students but also for companies too, there is a real appetite out there for getting young people into the world of work."
