Two Northampton college students are set to benefit from the award of £5,000 to help with their studies as part of a scheme launched by Northampton Borough Council to mark International Women's Day on 8 March 2015 and National Apprenticeships Week (9-13 March 2015).
Award recipients, Gina Hammersley and Courtney Francesca Wells, are both studying engineering and manufacturing as part of their study programmes at Northampton. The borough council is making the awards as part of a campaign to encourage women into less traditional vocations.
