We actively seek the views of our students and there are a number of ways in which you can provide feedback on your experience of higher education.
Course representatives meet regularly with their peers and attend a termly Academic Board of Studies meetings to discuss curriculum issues. There are also regular feedback sessions with a member of the HE Quality team to give you the opportunity to discuss your course.
Students also attend course team meetings and their representatives are invited to join the College’s Higher Education Strategy and Implementation Group which meets once a term to discuss all aspects of the higher education provision at the college
Each year, second year students are invited to take part in the National Student Survey which asks questions about teaching, facilities, assessment and student life. This information is compiled on a national basis and fed back to the college to help it to improve provision and standards.
Following previous student feedback, the College has responded by:
- Improving links with the careers team for advice and guidance on next steps
- Developing online access to external examiners’ reports
- Providing additional access to professional facilities outside of class time
- Creating more ‘live briefs’ and work experience opportunities to help students prepare for work after they qualify.
