This is a short resit GCSE course preparing students for the GCSE (9-1) exam in November 2020. It is aimed at students who would like to achieve a GCSE Maths grade 4 and just missed achieving this in June 2020. Students will also be expected to complete at least a further five hours remote learning. The lessons will focus on past exam questions and revising key areas. Students will be expected to work hard at home in preparation for the exam.
It is taught during a one and a half hour remote lesson each week where students will develop their mathematical understanding and technique. Students will also improve their problem-solving skills and build on their current numeracy knowledge so they are able to apply them successfully to a variety of contexts and question types.
GCSE Maths Grade 4 (minimum) is a standard qualification requirement for most employers and for courses at Level 3 and above.
