Absence reporting

If you are sick and you are unable to attend your lessons, you must inform the College before 9.00am on each day of your absence.

You can do this by sending a text to 07860 022 842.

Your text should say SICK followed by a space and your College ID number, for example: SICK ABC12345678

You will then receive an acknowledgement that the College has been informed of your absence shortly afterwards.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Information and advice

If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), you must stay at home (self-isolate) for at least 10 days and get a test. The main Coronavirus symptoms are: a new continuous cough; a high temperature, and/or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste.

Anyone with symptoms will be eligible for testing and this can be arranged via https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 119. Only get a test if you have coronavirus symptoms or have been asked to get tested.

Staff and students will only be allowed back on college premises after they have self-isolated in accordance with Government guidance or after confirmation of a negative test result.

All other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. This includes anyone in your ‘Support Bubble’.

The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill.

Please contact Student Services if you need to self-isolate or have any queries.
