Four exchange students from Iraq have teamed up with HND Theatre students to perform a powerful play which covers themes of immigration and asylum seekers.
Studying English at Northampton College in a University exchange programme, the Iraqi students; Mohammed, Mahmood, Hussein and Hasan, were approached by the HND Theatre group as part of their research for 'Credible Witness' ' an adaptation by Timberlake Wertenbaker which tells the story of a young man who flees his home country and his mother who follows him. The play covers issues faced by those who might be seeking asylum in the UK; the longing for identity, despair and loneliness.
