The first Northampton College students to ever obtain A* grades at A Level have helped the college to secure a record-breaking set of exam results.
Around 120 students took more than 350 exams within the A Level Academy at Northampton College. A 98 per cent pass rate at A2 was achieved. Students achieved a 100 per cent pass rate for 13 subjects including English, maths, chemistry, art and geography. The percentage of high grades (A*-C) was 73% per cent. The proportion of high grades has increased by 32% since last year. More than two fifths of grades were A*s, As and Bs. These results will ensure that most students are able to secure places at their first choice of university.
Two students, Chris Horn and Abigail Harvey, achieved three A* stars between them for biology, maths and creative writing.
