Open the doors to a new future and join us at one of our Northampton College open events – your chance to see first-hand what college life is all about.
These open events start in November and run throughout the year, so come along to as many as you want, get advice, see our facilities and talk to tutors as well as current students.
Our largest campus is Booth Lane, which is complete with computer suites and study areas, professional theatre spaces and an open-air amphitheatre. We also have our own TV and radio studios, engineering workshops and, if you are into cars, we have industry-standard spray paint booths for refinishing.
Performing arts is a popular course and at our open events you will be able to see our theatre, dance studios, music booths and performance spaces.
If you’re interested in hairdressing and beauty therapy, then our town centre campus at Lower Mounts is the place to go.
We’re also excited to update you about our newest campus, Daventry. At this purpose built campus we boast the latest technology and equipment, including our Digital Academy, motor vehicle workshops, hairdressing and beauty therapy salons. This campus is smaller in scale than our main campus so you will find a friendly and supportive atmosphere where you are more likely to know everyone.
Tours at all our open events are self-guided so you are free to wander wherever you want – although my team and many helpers will be around to chat, point you in the right direction and ensure you don’t get lost.
You can talk to our tutors along the way and if you know what you want to do, they may be able to make you an offer of a college place on the spot.
Our Principal or Deputy Principal will also be on hand, giving a talk in the lecture theatre at every open event to explain all about how further education works and what you can expect.
We have lots of new courses to choose from for 2019-20 and you can get a flavour of these in our new prospectus – available to view online here. You can also request a copy to be posted out to you.
At Booth Lane, for the first time, we will be offering Trowel Trades, Brickwork & Hard Landscaping, Plastering and Decorative Moulding, HNC Construction and the Built Environment in our new Advanced Construction Engineering Centre. Our all-new football academy with Crystal Palace Football Club will also be in full swing. Forensic Science & Criminology is a new course and will be run from both Booth Lane and Daventry Campus. Our Public Services courses will also now be run at Daventry, as well as Booth Lane.
But remember, there is no substitute for seeing this all for yourself at an open event. Once you’ve seen our prospectus and found a course or two you are interested in, come along, meet our tutors and talk to students about their experiences.
So, book today. We are holding seven open events in 2018-19, which run between November 2018 and June 2019.
